This year, we will welcome the launch of 5G networks especially in the US and UK. 5G technologies are expected to be a lot faster than its 5G predecessor. You must try the fastest no hassle connection in a fiber to realize how great the new 5G technology is. However, you will not be able to use these new speeds with your old mobile phones. As a matter of fact, most of the mobile phones that will be launched in the future will not support the new 5G technology. This is not much of a problem since 5G coverage are not yet widely implemented.

However, renowned microchip-maker Qualcomm has announced during a convention that there will be over thirty 5G enabled gadgets launching this year with most of these being smartphones. If you are planning to switch to 5G early, you will probably have a few handsets to choose from. With this in mind, our team has created this list of rumored 5G mobile phones launching in 2019. We have provided all the things we know about these new gadgets as well as where and when they are likely to be launched.

Samsung S10X

It has not been a secret that Samsung has been working on a new phone and it has been revealed that this will be the company’s first 5G enabled mobile phone. It is expected that it will be a revision of the Samsung Galaxy S10 and will probably be called Samsung S10X.

This is considered the most anticipated – yet most expensive – 5G phone to be released this year. In addition, it will also have a gigantic 6.7-inch touch screen, 4 rear cameras and 2 front cameras, 5,000mAh battery capacity and 12 gigabytes of RAM. The phone is expected to be released first in South Korea by the last week of March and to the rest of the world in April. The official announcement of Samsung will be on February 20.

The company has not yet revealed what will be the codename of their 5G smart phone but what has been confirmed is that they have already one in the works. Last year, the Chinese mobile phone maker successfully tested and integrated a modified an OPPO R15 to a 5G network. Additionally, they have also demonstrated the world’s first 5G network video call. These are strong implications that they might have a 5G-ready mobile phone coming this year.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3

This phone already has a release date but it does not support 5G. However, the 5G model is set to be released sometime in the middle of the year. There has been no confirmation on an Australian or US release but you can buy it in Europe, so it is expected that the United Kingdom will get it as well.

Specs of the phone include 10 gigabytes of RAM, a Snapdragon 855 chipset, 256 gigabyte storage and a battery capacity of 3,200mAh. It also boasts of 6.39 inches Full HD screen display, a sliding dual lens front camera and a dual lens camera at the back.

OnePlus 7

OnePlus has talked about releasing a 5G mobile phone numerous times already. The company stated that they will be the first to launch the 5g phone in Europe. It will be specifically released in the United Kingdom because OnePlus has confirmed that they have partnered with UK network EE. They are also expecting to release the phone in the US but they might not release the phone in Australia. Amidst all the talking, the company has yet to reveal the exact date that they will launch the phone.

Speculations have been circling around that they will launch their 5G phone as the OnePlus 7 and that we might expect a release date as early as May. Others also say that OnePlus’ 5G phones will be the start of a new flagship line. Either way, the phone is expected to be more expensive compared to other OnePlus phones. The OnePlus CEO has already confirmed that it will cost around $250 to $350.

iPhone 12

Mobile phone giant Apple is also expected to release their take on the 5G phone but will not likely be the first one to release it. There are rumors spreading online that Apple won’t be integrating 5G capabilities in the upcoming iPhone 11 and that Apple enthusiasts will have to wait until 2020 for the iPhone 12 for 5G.

As of January, the latest news about the iPhone 12 is that Apple is still undecided on which 5G modem microchips to use which means they still have a long way to go. The good news is that when Apple releases a phone, they are likely to be released worldwide.

A good partner of these 5G phones should be a great prepaid plan since data will sure be skyrocketing. Upgrade your mobile device to Lebara mobile plans now and enjoy the 5G network soon.
